Blastoff!!!

Interesting Google Results Page

I found an interesting layout for Google results while searching for ‘ipod ads site:apple.com’ that briefly confused me. It seems that they’ve grouped related URIs together but not linked to them. It made for quite a sparse looking page without hyperlinks. Is this a grouping of identical content? Or are they trying to offer results that are ‘of additional interest.’

2nd Early Reboot and OCD

I’ve rebooted my site again because I was disappointed with the look (physician heal thyself) and I felt I needed to update it. Rich tells me that I’m not crazy to reboot it twice in as many months but I don’t really believe him. I’m definitely losing it. I’m looking around on the web and seeing bloggers left, right, and centre linking to xkcd and I think it’s about time that I paid some sort of homage to the author and his genius.

In Rainbows Is here!

I can’t wait to play it. You guys rock.

Where's my Radiohead dowload email?

Being a major Radiohead fan, I pre-ordered my In Rainbows album for a nominal value because I plan on forking out £40.00 for the real deal when it comes out.

and i’m tempted
Rich

i dont think your supposed to fully discharge lions
Me
i woulda thought it pretty safe to be around a lion that had recently discharged. at least time for a twenty minute nap before you make away across the prairie

Whoops, 12 Hours of Downtime

I noticed that I’d disabled commenting a while back (the spammers were really taking their toll on my site) and decided to switch it back on yesterday with the release of my widget.

Whois Widget using Autosave again

It has been a while and there have been a fair few Safari 3 beta updates. I decided to see if any of them addressed the autosave attribute problem. They did. So it’s safe to say that you can now go to the Whois Dashboard Widget page and download it. For the lazy bones amongst you, you can just download it here.

Using those mac fonts in Safari and Firefox

I don’t know if this has been covered before but (Jeff or Dave maybe) I have a handy hint to help you with those complex fonts.

Cynical b***ard greets you

I’ve already linkrolled it but it was so funny that I had to include a snippet of Simon’s latest post Cynical greetings cards:

eBay's Browser Sniffing Sucks

I don’t often use eBay but it’s insulting when someone tells me that my browser is out of date and needs upgrading. Especially insulting when I’m using Safari 3 Beta and it tells me to use Firefox.

Safari 3 broke my widgets

I’m guessing every Mac geek out there is buzzing after the WWDC and many of you will have upgraded to the Safari 3 beta. Before you do it, bear in mind that it may cause a few bugs in your Dashboard. My own WHOIS widget isn’t working quite properly; the form elements won’t receive focus and I’ve no way if anything else is broken. The Wikipedia widget is struggling too because my widget isn’t displaying anything other than the blue background.

The Samurai

Many years ago, when I was a right-wing-validationist standing alongside the puritan/conservative XHTML police, I may have made silly remarks that disagreed with this man but I consider myself to be a pensive and considerate man now and I believe this dude thinks the way I’d like to think.
